It was set up in 1991 by the Kirloskar Group in Harihar, Karnataka. The consistent success of its alumna paved a path for Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies to establish the second campus in Talegaon Dabhade, Pune in 2010. Both the campuses are approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The institute offers two-year fully residential Management programmes such as Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), Management Development Programme (MDP) and Postgraduate Programme in Business Analytics and Decision Science (PGP BA & DS). KIAMS, Pune admission process is entrance-based. It has a placements success rate of 96 per cent.
